Description

The Minimax ME 28T is a compact machine boasting capacities usually only found on much larger units. Buffing, Scraping, and 3mm edge processing (5mm strips) is standard. This machine is perfect for the small to medium sized panel processing shop, this small machine packs a lot of features, and has a favorable price as well.

Features

• Pre-milling unit: Panel edge surfaces without any imperfections before the gluing operation. The pre-mill and chip breaker ensures a clean edge that corrects any panel imperfections caused by the saw cutting and panel storage process. The independent exhaust system removes all dust and chips from the panel and blades. Four different thickness removals: 0.5 / 1 / 1.5 / 2 mm.
• Glue pot unit: The Minimax ME 28T Edgebander features a glue pot with a quick heat-up system. The glue pot is Teflon coated to allow for easy clean up and easy glue replacement. The system easily applies the glue to the panel with a vertical glue spreading roller, and the temperature is adjustable via the PLC control. The machine also has a device to automatically recover unused glue.
• Edge loading: Edgebanding is automatically loaded, and the guillotine easily cuts PVC material up to 3mm thick. The edgebanding coil support is 28” in diameter
• Pressing system: The edgebanding is applied to the material through use of double edge pressure rollers.
• End trimming unit: The Minimax ME 28T is equipped with saw blade end trimming. This saw blade trims both the front and rear leading edges of the panels being run. A new copying device ensures constant and precise trimming under all working conditions. Blade alignment with reference to the trimming point is carried out using the same copying device.
• Top & bottom trimming: The Minimax ME 28T is equipped with automatic top and bottom trimming. It features both vertical and horizontal copying pads for accurate positioning of your tooling with reference to the trimming point.
• Scraping & buffing: The Minimax ME 28T features buffing and scraping stations as standard for finishing of 3mm PVC/ABS edges. The scraping system assures excellent finish, free of chatter marks, thanks to the heavy-duty structure. The precise horizontal and vertical copying pads have chrome plated surfaces, and assure accurate positioning of the knives. The buffing station includes two independent motors for cleaning and polishing the edge. The motors are tilted, and vertically adjustable to optimize the polishing and cleanliness.
